homemade peanut butter

This was the easiest thing to do! Seriously…insanely easy! I used one ingredient. Peanuts! Honey-roasted peanuts, which I think is the only way to go. 🙂 So here’s the deal…get your peanuts, or any type of nut and your food processor and you are ready to go!!

I put 1 1/2 cups honey roasted peanuts in the food processor. I let it churn in there about 5 – 7 minutes, stopping to scrape bottom and sided periodically. It goes from chunky, to very grainy, before it gets to the right consistency. You’ll know if you stopped it too soon by the taste, if it is still very dry, keep it going!

The options are endless here! We tried a little maple syrup in one batch and it was yummy! I can’t tell you for a fact if this is healthier than any other peanut butter on the shelves out there, but I can tell you the ingredients…peanuts. 🙂 No hydrogenated oil, no added anything else you can’t pronounce and in my book that’s already much healthier than anything else you can buy!
