spice rubbed pork chops

This is an extremely easy and quick weeknight dinner option. Pork chops are rubbed with a wonderful blend of spices then pan seared and cooked to perfection. Also, with the lean pork chops and a minimal amount of oil it is an exceptionally healthy main dish.

recipe adapted from: myrecipes.com

2 (4-oz) boneless pork loin chops

1/2 tsp. garlic salt

1/4 tsp. black pepper

1/4 tsp. ground cumin

1/2 tsp. chili powder

3/4 tsp. brown sugar

1 1/2 tsp. olive oil

Heat a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Sprinkle pork with garlic salt and pepper. Combine cumin, chili powder and sugar in a shallow bowl. Sprinkle half of spice mixture over 1 side of pork.
